Persyaratan

This scholarship is eligible for:

• Citizens of GKS partnering countries that are not Korean citizens and do not have parents with Korean citizenship and do not currently hold Korean double citizenship
• For graduate applicants, students that are under 40 years old (or a maximum of 45 years old for applicants that are academic professors in the Official Development Assistance (ODA) countries)
• Students that are healthy physically and mentally for the duration of the program
• Students that meet the educational and language requirements given by the chosen program
• Students with CGPA at least 2.64 out of 4.0 or equal or ranked within the top 20% in their past education
• Students that are considered as GKS Scholars are allowed to apply with extra requirements

General requirements:

• Application form
• GSIS Application Form (for applicants of International Studies programs)
• Birth certificate or other proof of age and citizenship
• Family registration certificate
• GKS Applicant Agreement
• Undergraduate degree certificate and transcript with notarization by Korean Embassy or Apostille (for Master and Ph.D. applicants)
• Graduate degree certificate and transcript with notarization by Korean Embassy or Apostille (for Ph.D. applicants)
• Documents for verifying academic requirements
• Language certificate required by the applied programs
• Two letter of recommendation
• Personal Medical Assessment
• Personal statement and study plan
• Photocopy of Passport
• Photocopy of parents’ certificates of nationality (passport or certificate of naturalization)
• Published paper and awards (optional)
• Adoption documents (only for overseas Korean adoptees)

Some programs might require applicants to submit additional documents. The documents submitted will not be returned. Documents must be submitted in the original copy (or photocopy approved by the institution releasing them). Documents that are not written in English or Korean must include certificated translation.

Pendaftaran

The scholarship application will be closed on 4 April 2024.

Process of scholarship selection:

• The first selection will be done by Yonsei University. The students that passed the first selection will be nominated to the National Institute for International Education (NIIED)
• The second selection process will be done by NIIED around the end of May
• The final selection result will be announced at the Study in Korea website.
